I like to photograph things with purpose. While I like the occasional photo walk, I achieve much better results when I am focussed on a goal. Leila and I have self published several books now. I do the photography, the typesetting, and any other publishing tasks. Leila is the editor and the wordsmith. She has a long list of ambitious projects on our project backlog.

This exhibition brings together a series of stark images captured across the far North—Luleå’s vast ice road mid industrial exploitation, Longyearbyen’s homes glowing in the deep polar night, and Tromsø caught in the perpetual half-light of dusk.
Through these photographs, we experience a world shaped by extremes, where light becomes both a physical need and an emotional compass. Each reflects a deeply human effort to adapt, to warm, to survive. In these remote, frozen spaces, the presence—or absence—of light becomes a quiet meditation on what it means to live on the edge of the world.
At its core, this exhibition speaks to something profoundly human: our longing for light, not only to see, but to feel alive. It’s a reminder that no matter how far we venture into the wilderness, we are always chasing brightness—through windows, across snowfields, and into the vast, indigo sky.

Kyoto with Kids
We hope you will use this book to give you a practical approach to planning your trip to Kyoto.
The advice in this book really applies to travel anywhere in Japan, because it mostly focuses on bigger picture issues. It sets out our trials and tribulations at tackling the logistics of travel with young children.
It also details the philosophical considerations when you are going on holiday with kids, hopefully to help you answer the "why am I doing this to myself" question when you need it most. (Possibly when you are in a lovely restaurant surrounded by eighty other diners and covered in baby poop.)
The book came about from what we perceived was a lack of travel guides that focus on what is and is not feasible with children in tow.
We would love to hear from our readers if there are any areas that we ought to discuss in finer detail and will most likely update this with a second edition once we go back to Japan in a few years - with a slightly older and more mobile Bunny.
